The City of Fresno is located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley in central California, and is known as the “year-round playground” due to its mild accommodating weather. Fresno has been dubbed as the “Agricultural Capital” of the world and produces 350 different crops with an estimated worth of approximately $6.8 billion. Fresh, organic produce is plentiful at the numerous farmer’s markets that set up shop throughout the city each week. Home gardens thrive in this temperate climate and, with an average of 300 days of sunshine each year, there are many opportunities to garden, picnic or just stop and smell the roses.

Oakmont of Fresno participates in ArtHop, a monthly event organized by the Fresno Art Council where locals can enjoy art and music at businesses throughout the area. Fresno also has the unique advantage of being located within 90 minutes of three of California’s most prized and prestigious National parks: Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon.
